Lil Nas X’s on stage gay kiss at BET Awards makes history

Lil Nas X made history at the 2021 BET Awards this past Sunday, when he performed a live rendition of his massive new hit single “Montero (Call Me By Your Name).” He may have left his Satanic stripper pole at home, but his steamy performance still raised many eyebrows and many cheers from the queers.

The kiss marks the first time two Black men kissed on stage at the BET which comes as recent issues of homophobic comments by fellow musicians has divided the industry.
